I had an enjoyable stay at the hotel with a gorgeous view of the pool from my balcony and great service from the staff. However, the room layout was a bit awkward as the bathroom was right next to the door, making it difficult to open both at the same time. The location is convenient for those driving, but it does come with some noise from the freeway. Overall, it's a decent choice, but there are definitely some areas for improvement.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were set in two-storey blocks without lifts, but my room had a wonderful balcony with a gorgeous view of the pool. However, the bathroom layout wasn't ideal.
Service

The service was excellent; they lent me a corkscrew and offered to uncork my bottle at no charge, which was a nice touch. I was never disappointed with the service provided.
Location

The hotel is conveniently located next to the freeway entrance, which is great for those driving. However, the noise and exhaust can be bothersome.

I recently stayed at this hotel, and while the location is fantastic, close to both the zoo and SeaWorld, I had a mixed experience overall. The rooms were a bit on the small side and not very soundproof, which made for some restless nights. On the plus side, the staff were incredibly friendly and the amenities were decent. Dining left something to be desired, especially for the prices charged.

Rooms

The room I stayed in was quite tiny, to the point that it felt like a small box. It wasn't ideal for comfort, especially being close to noisy neighbors.
Service

The service here was way above average. The staff, particularly Junneah Alilain, were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay.

However, the noise level in the rooms was pretty disruptive, and I struggled to get a good night's sleep. Overall, it’s decent if you prioritize location and service, but you might face a few challenges with comfort.

I found the hotel in a great location, just a few miles from all the attractions and close to a trolley station. However, the rooms were pretty dated and not very comfortable, plus the dining experience left a lot to be desired. On the bright side, the staff was friendly and tried their best to accommodate us during our stay.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms were super dated, complete with popcorn ceilings and a tiny bathroom that barely fit one person. We had hoped for a King room, but the accommodations felt more akin to a regular priced hotel.
Service
6.0
The staff was really friendly and accommodating, but the service quality suffered when it came to dining. We had some issues with water pressure in the shower too.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location is fantastic, as it is close to a huge shopping center and all main attractions. We could easily catch shuttles to places like the Zoo and SeaWorld.
Dining

I stayed in the Del Mar building and found the overall experience to be mixed. The location was great for getting to local attractions like the Zoo and SeaWorld, but the rooms could have been cleaner, and I had some issues with noise from outside. The service was thoughtful and helpful, but the dining experience left a lot to be desired. It was convenient, but certainly not perfect.

Rooms
6.0
I was in the Del Mar building on the first floor and, while it felt comfortable, it could have been cleaner. One of the bathroom towels was dirty, which was disappointing. Plus, I had to place a cup on the floor to catch some dripping water from the ceiling.
Service
7.0
The staff was on time and provided good advice on local attractions, which I really appreciated. However, they seemed very nonchalant about the noise other patrons made, which was a bit frustrating at times.
Location
8.0
The hotel was in a convenient location for touring San Diego, being close to the Zoo, SeaWorld, and the Fashion Mall. It was perfect for families needing to get up early, but it felt a bit isolated from the main attractions of San Diego, even though the freeways were easily accessible.
Dining

However, the rooms felt quite dated and cramped. Dining options were limited, but the quality was surprisingly good. Overall, it’s a fair value for the price, but there are definitely areas that could use improvement.

This hotel has a fantastic location, just a short distance from attractions and a trolley station. The rooms are generally clean and comfortable, but I did have an issue with my room being switched to a smoking room. Service was great, with friendly staff always ready to help. However, the dining options left a bit to be desired. Overall, it offers decent value for money, especially for San Diego.

I had a decent stay overall, but the hotel felt quite dated, especially the rooms which had popcorn ceilings and cramped bathrooms. On the bright side, the staff was warm and friendly, and our rooms were kept very clean. The location was good, close to attractions and had included parking, which I found to be a nice benefit. However, the dining experience could use improvement, particularly in the breakfast variety.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms were very clean, but they felt super dated with features like popcorn ceilings and tiny bathrooms that barely fit one person. They gave us a place to sleep for the night, but my room was through a door and down the hall from my partner's, which was a bit inconvenient.
